Wide Ranger

Will 15x8 rims fit on stock 89 4x4 Ranger, and with what tires?

I have a set of 15x8 wheels probably intended for a Jeep, not sure about offset. My Ranger is all stock, (plan on 2 inch lift) so I'm not sure about clearance. I'm just planning on more of an all season tire, not too aggressive, probably like a set of Goodyear Wranglers or something, and I want it to fit right and look good, so I'm thinking of something like 255 70 15. Also have a set of 15x7 rims with 235 75 15's on em, does anyone know if something wider would fit on those and still clear? thanks
I know the bolt pattern should work, I'm mostly worried about wheel width, 15x7 vs. 15x8, and how well they would fit

Wheels will fit if from a Wrangler, Cherokee or Grand Cherokee with 5 on 4 1/2 bolt pattern. I would opt for a 30X9.50R15 tire.
