Loop Belt

What is the word in English for the little loop through which the belt goes around the waist?
Can it be a belt loop,a pant loop or it's simply another word?
can it be a belt loop,a pants loop or is it simply another word?
The loops on the pants are called 'belt loops'. The loop that is attached to the buckle end of the belt is called a 'keeper'.
