Canvas Military Metal
Gas Mask Vintage Circa 1942?
I have a gas mask never used (original box, instruction sheet included) dating from 1942 personnel of the "Government of the Dominion." This is Canada, back when it was called "The Dominion of Canada." The material is canvas or jute (?), As with a metal ventilator at the front. My grandfather, now deceased, worked for a company that did a lot of top secret work for the government to back in the day, and it may have been given this as a "precaution". This was found in his cellar, and I never had the chance to ask him about it. Does anyone know how it would be interesting, or how I can get more information about this? Any fans of war and / or military antiques enthusiasts out there? Thank you! I live in Canada.
If you have the original factory data, (mod # # ser date of manufacture), it might be worth some looking into. could be worth some $ $ $. do some research.
