How do I disable the seatbelt alarm set on my Lincoln Aviator 2005?
I have a 2005 Lincoln Aviator and sit often wait until someone with the car running and do not want to have a seat belt while I'm waiting. The buzzer is driving me crazy - it's so hard! How can I disable it? I looked in the owner's manual and the fuse that I could see that this is called "retention module" - Is this what I have to unplug?
do not remove this fuse. it is for the airbag system. seat belts are fitted pretensioners. an easy way to fix this is the closure of the seat belt behind you instead of before.
