What would happen if i bleached my blue canvas shoes?
What would happen?
And what would be the best medium to draw a design on these bleached shoes.
would acrylic paint peel off?
Your first step would be to find out if the cloth part of your shoes is cotton or some other fiber. It might say on the label. If they are made of cotton, soak them in plain warm water. then put them in a container with 1 cup of bleach to two quarts of warm water. Stir them around with a wooden stick or wear rubber gloves while you are touching them. Rinse them really well. First with plain water and then with water containing vinegar. this will stop the bleaching action. You can then draw with a fabric crayon or fabric marker. It would probably be easier to start with plain white shoes. Most crayons or markers would require heat setting. It will be hard to iron a shoe. If you are very confident you could use acrylic paint.
