Heavy Black Size
Huge black clumps during period?
Before I went on birth control, I had very irregular periods. I'd have one every two to four months. That kind of made me wonder if I was having regularly paced periods in one ovary, but none in the other, or maybe that both were going at the same time. They were very heavy, and the blood was always black. There were always huge black clumps, too, the largest about the size of an adult thumb or a new large eraser. They stayed together pretty good, but if I mashed one up it would leave red marks.
What the heck?
I've read some other answered questions about this, and maybe I have polycystic ovary syndrome, but would the clots be that big? Are normal clots that big? I'd like an explanation!
Sounds like normal blood clots, generally on birth control they can increase and look worse then you think, but it's pretty standard, lots of women have clots that big without having PCOS. If you feel like you may have it, talk with your doctor.
