In a car accident, seat belt and provides the surface pressure against the body. What causes ....?
or provides the force?
If I understand the question, I think the strength you are looking for, is inertia. Your body moves at the speed of the car - then the car stops. Now the car has no speed, but you're still moving forward at that speed until some thing (I hope the seat belts) acts to stop. If you're referring to the effort to stop - it the cons-Newtonian force to your forward inertia.
