If the oven in my house does not work do I pay full rent ?
We moved in 5 months ago to rented house. Its has a gas oven, the gas hob works and the grill works but the main oven compartment does not work. Two of the nobs had been snapped off before we moved into the house.
We have phoned the estate agents lots and send a letter. But still nothing has happened!
I dont know what to do any more! are we in any position to not pay full rent?
Send a letter to the agent stating that unless they organise a repair to the cooker within 7 days, you will do so and deduct the money from the next months rent.Make sure that you get an invoice from the repair person to prove the cost but I think you won't have to as they will get it fixed!
