Dominican Republic is the discrimination against African Americans?
Hey guys, I'm planning to study abroad in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in a private school called La Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra. I'm excited to the idea but I read that the Dominican Republic is racist. and they prefer to love and to better treat people with lighter skin. and I would be considered morena or other .. but I just want to know how black Americans are treated there ..

Stereotype. The Dominican dictator from 1930 to 1961 victims of discrimination and killed Haitians. Most Dominicans are mixed, and most Black Dominicans are descendants of illegal Haitian immigrants. Do not be afraid to go and miss a great opportunity to learn and have fun in a great country. Do not be fooled by the stupid stereotypes that uneducated people do.
