If my arm surface piercing still red around the small metal balls?

If my arm surface piercing still red around where the metal balls are? Its been over 3 months now (no rejection or pain), but have always had red marks! Did the piercing checked reg and chopped, if necessary, but requires just a bit further just to be sure! Any suggestions or comments that may assist the healing process and redness will be much appreciated.Thanks V
