High Shine

The sun shines because of the high pressure and temperature it takes to make the merger happen?

Can you explain why the sun shines? I know what fusion is, but the sun shines because of the pressures and temperatures needed to melt the happen?

Taking into account the theory of blackbody radiation, anything that has a temperature above 0K emits radiation Electromagnetic. The best example is the thermal vision that the military uses to detect the body heat. A human body also "shines" but you can not see the radiation as it emits its radiation in the form of heat radiation (infrared) that your eyes can not see. As for the Sun because it is much hotter than the human body, it emits most of its radiation in the visible spectrum (about 390 to 750 nm) that's why you're eyes are capable detect light. Fusion occurs naturally in the sun because of the pressures and temperatures. Because of the fusion energy Sun maintains a high temperature and therefore shines.
