Why are people saying Barack would be the first black president? Isn't he just as white as he is black?
I just don't understand this polarization. He could bring us all together but instead is riding the "black" card like a Harley-and if it isn't him, he isn't doing much in the way to alter the perception.

Bottom line is 15 years from now when kids look at their presidential placemats he will be the only face with noticably black features. He will be credited with being the first black president.
As another black/white mulatto, I can live with that. He should be important to everyone, not just people with a similar ratio of a similar type of mixed blood.
Obama should be a confirmation that anyone can have any background and if they work hard can become president.
