What type of fork should I buy for my mountain bike?

I have a 2004 Stumpjumper and the rear suspension is 4 inches or 100 mm I need to get a new fork and many are either 120 mm or 140 mm or adjustable length. Would it be weird to have more front suspension then backward. What would you recommend the fork if the price was not a problem.

I had this model some time ago. I would go with a Rock Shock Reba with the function U-Turn. It's a pretty nice range, light and responsive as can be set manually from somewhere around 90mm to 115mm, which is the ideal size for Stumpy. 130 or 140mm would be too great, in my opinion. Edit: Jax it was good except that the coil forks are plusher than air. The advantages of air is that the forks are lighter and easier to adjust the rider's weight different. Coil on a fork or shock, if you need to change the stiffness, you need to change the coil, but on the air, you just put the air more or less, and that's all. Now technology shock is underway, and they produce air shocks and forks that behave pretty close to what it feels like a coil.
